Disclosure
golfnear.io is a free, independent guide to golf courses in Spain. Here is how it stays free and how it treats your data.
How we make money
Right now: we don't. golfnear.io currently carries no advertising and no affiliate links — nobody pays us to list a course, rank it higher, or quote a price. We would rather say that plainly than imply a revenue model we do not have.
That is meant to change: booking and golf-holiday partners are the intended way to keep the site free. If and when those links go live, every one of them will be labelled Partner, carry rel="sponsored" in the HTML, and be listed here — and they still will not change which courses we list, the green fees we show, or the order of results. Green fees are the club's own published prices with the date we last checked them; we do not invent numbers.
Your data
No account is needed and we do not ask for personal details. "Use my location" runs entirely in your browser to sort courses by distance; your coordinates are not stored or sent to us. The pages you are reading set no cookies and load no analytics or advertising scripts; we keep only anonymous, count-only tallies of which features get used.
A few older pages — the Costa del Sol hub and the legal pages themselves — still load two Google tags: Analytics, and an AdSense tag left over from an advertising application. Both only run if you accept them in the cookie banner, and the AdSense tag is currently serving no ads. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
