The course

The Elche golf school is the unpretentious end of Alicante-region golf — a teaching facility built around a compact par-3 and short-course layout, designed for beginners, juniors, and the player who wants to grind their wedge game without committing to a full eighteen. The teaching staff is genuinely strong, the practice areas are well-conditioned, and the routing keeps everything accessible. This is where you take a non-golfing partner for their first proper lesson, not where you chase a course handicap. As a destination it is honest about what it offers and quietly very good at it.

When to play

Alicante's microclimate gives Elche school nearly year-round operation — mild winters, dry shoulder seasons, and only the midday height of July-August requiring care. October through May is the comfort peak. Lesson slots and group programs run year-round; the school's calendar is the booking variable more than the weather. Weekday mornings during the European winter season see the most international visitor traffic.

Green fee & value

Pricing is by far the most accessible in the regional market — lessons, range buckets, and short-course rounds all sit well below the Costa Blanca resort tier. This is the venue where a non-golfing companion can take their first three lessons in a week without the resort surcharge. Multi-lesson cards offer meaningful per-hour value, and the academy's group programmes are particularly worth investigating for shorter stays.

Access & etiquette

No handicap requirement — this is genuinely beginner-friendly. Dress code is relaxed by Spanish golf standards (collared shirt is sufficient; the strict tailored-shorts protocols of the championship clubs do not apply here). Booking lessons in advance is sensible during peak winter visitor weeks.

Getting there

Fifteen minutes by car from Alicante airport (ALC) — one of the most airport-accessible golf venues on the Costa Blanca, and uniquely useful for short stays. Elche city centre is ten minutes away and the UNESCO-listed Palmeral palm grove is worth the half-day combination. The Alicante coast is twenty minutes east; pair the lessons with <a href="https://playascerca.com/en/region/comunitat-valenciana/" rel="noopener">Playa de San Juan or the Santa Pola salt flats</a> for the broader Alicante day-trip itinerary.
